I Can't Go Anywhere Without This Two Things

Hello everyone, today I will tell you about two things that I always bring wherever I go. First, it is my wallet. Do you know why I always bring it? Of course because it contains my money. As you know, when we want to buy something we have to use money, so I always bring some money in case I need it. Beside that, there are other important things such as identity card and driving license. Driving license is a prove that I have a permission to ride motorcycle ( actually it is for safety when I meet police :D ). In my wallet, there is ATM card too. So if my money in my wallet isn't enough, I can get it at the nearest ATM.

Second thing that I have to bring is my smartphone. I need it because it is a communication device, so if someone contacts me or I need to contact someone, I can easily call or message them. Beside that, I also use it to chat with my friend or to find information in the internet. Sometimes I use it to play games if I'm bored.

When I got this two things, I feel that I don't need anything else. If I'm hungry I can buy food with my money, If I'm bored I can play games or chat with my friend. So it is reassuring to have them.

My Favorite Selfie

Hello guys, today I will talk about my favorite selfie. As you see, there is desert behind me and it looks like I am in a high place. Where was I when I took the selfie? Check it out. About 3 months ago, I visited Malang, East Java with my friends. There, we planned to visit one of East Java tourist destination, Bromo Mountain. The next day, I woke up early at 2 A.M. to make preparations. Maybe you think why should I wake up that early? It is because of one of the good things from Bromo is the sunrise. From what I hear and maybe you too, the view of the sunrise is amazing and beautiful.

I arrived at Bromo’s viewing spot at 4 A.M. One thing that I can’t forget about Bromo is the temperature. It is very cold there. From what I hear, the temperature at the time was about 5 degrees Celcius. From the bottom, we walked to the peak. When we arrived, it was already crowded. There were almost no place to take a photo. When the sun rose, the view was very amazing. It was like an aurora but with orange color.

After that we decided to go to Bromo’s crater. We walked through the desert, climbed the hills and stairs, almost like an adventurers :D. After half hours, we made it to the peak. There were smoke coming out from the crater and the view from the peak was really amazing. There, I took the selfie with the amazing view from the peak of Bromo  behind me. 5 Tenses That We Frequently Use

Today, I had an english course. The materials were about tenses. There are 16 tenses, but we discussed 5 tenses that we frequently use.

1. Simple Present Tense
   ~ Digunakan untuk menyatakan rutinitas dan fakta-fakta umum
   ~ Rumus :
        (+) S + V1 (s/es)
        (-) S + do/does + not + V1
        (?) Do/Does + S + V1 ?
   ~ Example:
        - They go to campus by bus
        - She goes to campus by motorcycle
2. Simple Past Tense
   ~ Digunakan untuk menyatakan kalimat yang terjadi di masa lampau
   ~ Rumus :
        (+) S + V2
        (-) S + did + not + V1
        (?) Did + S + V1 ?
   ~ Example :
        - She drank coffe
        - He didn't bring umbrella
3. Present / Past Continuous Tense
   ~ Digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang sedang berlangsung
   ~ Rumus :
        (+) S + be + Ving
        (-) S + be + not + Ving
        (?) Be + S + Ving ?
   ~ Example :
        - Aria and Linda were opening the account ( Past )
        - Reni is studying calculus ( Present )
4. Simple Future Tense
   ~ Digunakan untuk mengekspresikan kejadian yang belum terjadi, masih direncanakan, atau kejadian di masa yang akan datang
   ~ Rumus :
        (+) S + will + V1
        (-) S + will + not + V1
        (?) Will + S + V1 ?
   ~ Example :
        - I will study at American Corner next week
        - She will not make a cake
5. Present Perfect Tense
   ~ Digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang sudah terjadi dan hasilnya masih terasa/terlihat
   ~ Rumus :
        (+) S + has/have + V3
        (-) S + has/have + not + V3
        (?) Has/Have + S + V3 ?
   ~ Example :
        - They have started the course
        - Has he done the homework?

My Reason For Choosing Computer System Study Major

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Good to see you again. Today, I will tell you about the reason why I choose Math and Natural Science Faculty, Computer System Study Major, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. At first, actually I want to learn about programming in high school, so I thought that I would enroll in Information Technology study major but I changed my mind. Why is that? Before that, I will tell you a bit of my story from the past.

When I was in first grade of Vocational High School, my school invited guests from Jakarta’s university. They wanted to teach how to program and introduced artificial intelligence to vocational high school students. At first, I wasn’t really interested and I thought it would be troublesome to join. But my friend persuade me to attend the seminar together, and eventually I agreed.

In the seminar the lecturers gave us an illustration about what will happen in the future. Human’s jobs would be done by robots and humans just need to control them. That’s when I thought, it would be cool if I could create one than using the robot which has existed. I dreamed that one day I would be a robot developer.

After that I began to search for a study major related to robots. That’s when I found that Computer System Study Major has a deep connection with robots which are called embedded systems. I continued my search to find which university has computer system study major. One of them is Tanjungpura University. That’s when I decided, this university will be my stepping stone to realize my dreams. And here I am, in this university.

The World Of University

Hello guys my name is Albert Stevan Yondra. I am a student of Math and Natural Science Faculty, Computer System Department, Tanjungpura University. It has been a week since my courses started and to be honest I feel tired. Why???

Because it is more difficult than I expected. In high school, all we have to do is wait. Wait for the teachers, wait for the lessons, wait for the schedules, wait for the announcements and the other things, then we start the learning and teaching process.

But not in the university, here you have to find your own schedules, information, and about the lecturers. At first, I was confused where and when I should find them. But thanks to the help of my friends, I managed to find them. We shared information and helped each other when one of us was in trouble. Since that, I knew that friends are really important in the world of university.

This week was our first meeting with our lecturer in each courses (some of them were the second :D). We started the courses by listening to the course's rules and contract. The lecturers also gave us information on what books should we have, their contacts info, and how to behave in asking question or permission. Each of the lecturer's rules is different, so we had to make a note or record the rules in our book.

Next week we are going to start our lesson, and I'm looking forward to it, especially in programming courses.
